If you’re looking for a mini PC with Intel Core i3 and graphics acceleration, there are a few options that you should consider. You can find one of them at NUC 5i3RYH, Ockel Sirius A, Beelink SEI8, or Intel NUC 7 Business. We also discuss the differences between these options, and how they might impact your needs. But before you make a purchase, you should know how the various mini PCs work.
NUC 5i3RYH
If you’re looking for a compact, powerful computer for gaming, multimedia, and other purposes, the Intel NUC5i3RYH mini PC with Intel Core-i3 processor and integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500 is a great choice. It comes with two SODIMM slots, supports up to 16GB of RAM, and features mini-HDMI, USB 2.0, and Bluetooth 4.0.
Ockel Sirius A
Ockel’s pocket-sized desktop mini PC, the Sirius A, raised almost half a million dollars in its first Indiegogo campaign, and the company is back with a new model. It features an Intel Atom Cherry Trail processor and a six-inch touchscreen. It’s expected to ship in May, with a full retail price of $699. Regardless of the cost, Ockel’s latest model offers many of the same features as its previous models.
Beelink SEI8
The Beelink SEI8 mini PC with Intel-Core i3 is an excellent budget PC with an 11.8-inch full HD IPS display. It comes with Bluetooth, allowing you to pair with most Bluetooth-enabled devices. The Beelink SEI8 also comes with an 8th generation Intel Core i3-8109U processor, which has 2C/4T speeds up to 3.6Ghz. It is suitable for office and education use. The mini PC supports basic 2D games and video playback.
Intel NUC 7 Business
The Intel NUC 7 Business mini PC is a compact system with the most storage capacity. The only real problem is its price, and four gigabytes of RAM is not enough for many applications. Eight gigabytes of RAM would make it much more responsive, especially when you are running memory-hungry tasks. However, the NUC excels in its size and weight. It has the smallest footprint and is the second lightest system of its kind.
Intel NUC 8 Pro
The Intel NUC 8 Pro Mini PC with Intel Core i3 is a highly portable, business-oriented system with a dual-core Intel Core i3 processor. Its eight-gigabyte hard drive and Thunderbolt 3 port offer a combined transfer speed of 10 Gbps. This mini PC is certified for 24×7 continuous operation and comes with a three-year limited warranty.
Intel NUC 11 Extreme
The new Intel NUC 11 Extreme mini PC features an eight-core, 16-wire, 5 GHz Intel Core i9 processor. It also includes a powerful graphic card, up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM, and desktop discrete graphics. As with its predecessors, the Intel NUC 11 Extreme offers a variety of ports, including Thunderbolt ™ 4, DisplayPort, and up to six 4K displays.
Beelink SEI8
While the Beelink SEI8 is a great choice for anyone who wants a portable PC that will work well for light multitasking, it has a couple of drawbacks. First of all, it does not come with any ventilation grilles on the top of the chassis. This makes it difficult to place things on top of the device. Secondly, there are only two sides of the chassis that feature air intake vents. This means that the hot spot can reach up to 42 degrees Celsius near the exhaust grilles and rear of the chassis.
